A favourite Hobsons brew for me is the winter warmer Postman's Knock. This beer is perfect in front of a roaring pub fire after a crisp winter walk, with its profile of warm mulling spices and dark preserved fruits it's sure to put some warmth back into your frozen toes and fingers!

A beer that really delivers, it’s rich and smooth with flavour notes of vanilla, treacle and roast malt leading to a velvety chocolate finish.

FACT … Following our big win with Mild being crowned Champion Beer of Britain we developed a stronger bottled version of Mild in 2007. The name was inspired by local postman and novelist Simon Evans.

Tasting Notes

Deep mahogany in colour this British strong mild has wonderful roasted notes of chocolate and coffee beans. With moderate bitterness gives velvety a finish.

Splendid with a sticky toffee pudding or sweet treat.

Local Maris Otter malting barley, Pale Chocolate malt and Dark Crystal malt.

Goldings and Fuggles British hop varieties.
