A Hobsons Hop Around Bridgnorth – Pints, Pubs & Plenty of Fun!

A Hobsons Hop Around Bridgnorth – Pints, Pubs & Plenty of Fun! 🍻
Bridgnorth – you absolute beauty! With 15 permanent Hobsons stockists, this town is practically a Hobsons hotspot, and we couldn’t resist heading out for a proper tour to see our beers in action and the wonderful publicans that make these pubs great! A day of top-notch pints, cracking fish and chips, and great company? Don’t mind if we do!
Stop 1: The Atrium – Coffee, Cocktails & Town Crier!
We kicked things off at The Atrium, because every great adventure starts with a good coffee (or a breakfast pint if you fancy, we won’t judge). With Town Crier on tap, a brilliant ale selection, and some serious cocktail game, this spot has something for everyone. I’d add we went for a coffee and the flat white hit the spot!
Stop 2: Foster’s Arms – Cobs, Ale & Sporty Vibes
Next up, the Foster’s Arms, a proper locals’ pub where the ale is always flowing, the sports are on all day, and the cobs are beautiful. Traditional, no-nonsense, and a great place for a well-poured pint. This spot had some importance, a game of darts to see who bought the next pint, the loser… ME!
Stop 3: Woodberry Inn – Gastro Pub Goodness
Fancy something a bit fancy? The Woodberry Inn delivered with its amazing food menu, cosy woodfire, and top-tier pint of Town Crier. A gastro pub with a real love for ale – what’s not to like? With extensive gardens, this is the place for summer too.
Stop 4: The Dog, Worfield – Cosy Country Charm
A roaring woodfire, cracking food, and Town Crier permanently on tap. The Dog knows how to keep things simple and seriously good. Bonus points for the Labrador on the sign – it’s got “good pub” written all over it. The welcome from this pub was notable, the staff were up for a chat and I’ll certainly be heading back soon.
Stop 5: The Wheel – Packed Out & Pouring Perfection
The Wheel was buzzing when we arrived – and for good reason! Impeccable food, a great pint, and a retro Town Crier pump clip on display made this one of the day’s highlights. A short stroll from The Dog, it’s the perfect double stop on your Hobsons tour just outside of Bridgenorth but certainly worth a visit for some food if you’ve got a designated driver.
Stop 6: Lion O’Morfe – Cosy Country Classic
A proper countryside gem, the Lion O’Morfe welcomed us in with a roaring fire, a relaxed atmosphere, and some beautifully kept beer. A place you could easily lose a few hours in! The real Labrador in this one was certainly a highlight next to the woodfire.
Stop 7: Railwayman’s Arms – Beers on the Tracks
Nestled right on the railway, this pub is all about history, character, and great beer. With Mild and Town Crier on tap, a retro Hobsons sign behind the bar, and a free IPA, it was a real winner and plenty of Hobsons to ask for. Certainly a stop on foot or by train!
Stop 8: Old Castle – Pints With a View
To round things off, we hit the Old Castle, where the staff were super friendly, the restaurant was top-tier, and Town Crier flowed freely. A proper pub with a bit of everything—a fitting end to our Bridgnorth adventure.
Stop 9: The Black Horse- Bustling Beauty
A beautifully decorated Hobsons A-board stood proud at the entrance to greet us, we were nearing 7pm, the pub was bustling with locals, The Black Horse offered a great beer selection and cosy yet contemporary vibe which made this pub a worthy stop on the tour.
Bridgnorth, We Salute You!
From bustling locals’ boozers to fancy food spots, Bridgnorth knows how to serve a pint of Hobsons. If you haven’t explored the town’s beer scene yet, you’re seriously missing out.
