Dhustone Mocha Browkies Traybake (Half brownie, half cookie!)

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 175°C and line an 8″ square cake dish.
  2. For the brownie add the Dhustone Stout, dark chocolate and butter into a microwavable bowl and heat until melted. Once melted add 70g of the self-raising flour, the caster sugar and 2 eggs. Mix until thoroughly combined, then pour into your lined cake tin.
  3. For the cookie add the margarine, soft brown sugar, remaining self-raising flour, 1 egg and instant coffee dissolved in water to a mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly until combined. Once combined, spoon the cookie mix on top of your brownie mix and smooth out.
  4. Place in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean, leave to cool and enjoy!

 

Dhustone Ginger Cake

Keeps well and matures with age, lasts up to 3 weeks in the fridge.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 160C and line a 2 lb load tin or 7″ square cake dish.
  2. Melt the margarine, brown sugar and treacle in a microwavable bowl until the margarine has melted.
  3. Then, place the plain flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and eggs into a mixing bowl. Combine and then add the margarine mix.
  4. In a heatproof bowl microwave the Dhustone Stout and milk until it boils (this may curdle). Once boiled, add the bi-carb and quickly add this mix to the your mixing bowl ingredients. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  5. Pour into a 2lb loaf tin or 7″ square cake tin.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until well risen. Allow to cool before tucking in!

 

Dhustone Rich Chocolate Mousse

Makes 4-6 individual portions

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Place the dark chocolate, Dhustone Stout and 198g of the condensed milk into a microwavable bowl.
  2. Heat in 10-20 second bursts, stirring each time until smooth and silky.
  3. Distribute the mix evenly into shot glasses or small bowls.
  4. Pop in the fridge and leave to set.
  5. Add the whit chocolate, remaining 95g of condensed milk and dissolved coffee into a microwavable bowl.
  6. As before heat in 10-20 second bursts, stirring each time until smooth and silky.
  7. Spoon on top of the stout mousse you already have setting in the fridge, each serving should look like a small pint of Dhustone!
  8. Return to fridge for 3+ hours until set.
