Try New Puds With Dhustone Stout (Recipes)
Dhustone Mocha Browkies Traybake (Half brownie, half cookie!)
Ingredients:
Method:
- Pre-heat oven to 175°C and line an 8″ square cake dish.
- For the brownie add the Dhustone Stout, dark chocolate and butter into a microwavable bowl and heat until melted. Once melted add 70g of the self-raising flour, the caster sugar and 2 eggs. Mix until thoroughly combined, then pour into your lined cake tin.
- For the cookie add the margarine, soft brown sugar, remaining self-raising flour, 1 egg and instant coffee dissolved in water to a mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly until combined. Once combined, spoon the cookie mix on top of your brownie mix and smooth out.
- Place in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean, leave to cool and enjoy!
Dhustone Ginger Cake
Keeps well and matures with age, lasts up to 3 weeks in the fridge.

- Pre-heat oven to 160C and line a 2 lb load tin or 7″ square cake dish.
- Melt the margarine, brown sugar and treacle in a microwavable bowl until the margarine has melted.
- Then, place the plain flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and eggs into a mixing bowl. Combine and then add the margarine mix.
- In a heatproof bowl microwave the Dhustone Stout and milk until it boils (this may curdle). Once boiled, add the bi-carb and quickly add this mix to the your mixing bowl ingredients. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Pour into a 2lb loaf tin or 7″ square cake tin.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until well risen. Allow to cool before tucking in!
Dhustone Rich Chocolate Mousse
Makes 4-6 individual portions

- Place the dark chocolate, Dhustone Stout and 198g of the condensed milk into a microwavable bowl.
- Heat in 10-20 second bursts, stirring each time until smooth and silky.
- Distribute the mix evenly into shot glasses or small bowls.
- Pop in the fridge and leave to set.
- Add the whit chocolate, remaining 95g of condensed milk and dissolved coffee into a microwavable bowl.
- As before heat in 10-20 second bursts, stirring each time until smooth and silky.
- Spoon on top of the stout mousse you already have setting in the fridge, each serving should look like a small pint of Dhustone!
- Return to fridge for 3+ hours until set.
